How long does Invisalign take?
Many adults finish in 12 to 18 months. Small amounts of crowding or spacing can take less time, and bite problems can take longer. You’ll get an estimate for your own teeth at your consultation.
How many hours a day do I wear the aligners?
About 20 to 22 hours a day. Take them out only to eat, to drink anything other than plain water, and to brush and floss. Aligners only move teeth while they’re in your mouth.
How much does Invisalign cost in Winchester?
The cost depends on how much your teeth need to move and how long treatment takes. We’ll give you the price before you start. Dental insurance with orthodontic coverage often pays part of it, and we offer payment plans, CareCredit and Cherry.
Does Invisalign hurt?
Most people feel pressure for a day or two each time they switch to a new set of aligners. It usually fades quickly, and there are no wires or brackets to rub your cheeks.
Am I a candidate for Invisalign?
Invisalign can treat crowded teeth, gaps and many overbite, underbite and crossbite cases. Your gums need to be healthy before treatment starts. Dr. Sobieh will tell you whether aligners suit your teeth. Read what happens at an Invisalign consultation.
Will I need a retainer afterward?
Yes. Teeth tend to drift back after any kind of straightening, so you’ll wear a retainer to hold your new smile in place, usually every night at first.
